If you're talking about dropping one in, it might make the vehicle faster, if it could be done with the ECM programming necessary. But I doubt by a whole lot. The vehicle probably has a 3100 in it, I'd imagine -- my '96 Monte Carlo with the 3400 was not a real tire-smoker, I'd say it's probably not worth the headaches.
yes we have the 3100 SFI V6 in your car
www.60degreev6.com will tell you all you need to know
3100 and 3400 are pretty much the same engine, just different displacement. If you wanted to do an engine swap, go with a different engine, because the 3400 isn't terribly impressive.... but its probably just easier to rebuild and boost the 3100.

Nitrous. The end. Everything else is BS.... thinking about it, though, why do a thing to a car with this kind of weight and underhood cast iron...........
3100 and 3400 are the same engine heads and everything will inter change motor mounts and wiring harness are about the same between 99 and 00 Pontiac grand am and Malibu but the ones that come out of a Buick and an impalla are different on the 2000 the motor mounts they have the wish bone mounts and u will have to change the timing cover its a pain but worth it my grand am se is one of the fastest cars I've ever driven I'm going to get the gt transmission with the bigger final gear.
And on your 3100 you can put 3400 heads on it and it will increase the hourse power and displacement. It will make it mean
