if a car wants to stall when you try to go what would that mean?

when i try to go up a hill or something it wants to act like it wants to die or stall real bad......

the reason is this could be caused by ANY number of concerns...the idle air control is typical on these...but to be sure you could get your trouble codes and post them here for us to be able to help you with any authority~

How long since your last tune up? Plugs, plug wires, air filter, ect.
