Why is my 1999 Grand AM SE 4DR 4CYL. hard to start after the first time in the morning?

When I first start it in the morning it starts perfect. But when I try to start it again I haveto
use the "gas pedal".

i had this problem as well and it just got worst. you have to check a couple things. one make sure your water tank is full and not broken or leaking. two check the hoses to make sure they are not broken or ripped, if you see a broken or ripped hose replace it. check if it is vapor is coming out of the tail pipe if vapor is coming out then go see a mechanic because you might have water going into the engine. also one last thing, check the fuel pump.
