What is the difference between a 2000 E 3.4l and a 2003 F 3.4L

Asked by jeffgut Mar 28, 2007 at 07:57 PM about the 2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT Coupe

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 2000 Grand Am GT with 240000 miles on the original 3.4L vin code E motor. I found a replacement motor in a 2003 Grand Am that the person says will fit but according to the hollander book only 2000 - 2002 interchange. Can anyone tell me what the difference might be?
