not sure but you might want to check your fuel filter and see if its clogged?
Check your idle air control valve, it's right by your throttle body. I changed mine when my car wouldn't idle. $30 at auto zone and gave them the old one back for a 30 core charge, so it was basically free. Very easy to change

I have a 2001 grand am when you drive at 55 to 60 mph for 15 min it will shut off. There is hesitation or anything. If i drive around town the car runs great under 45 mph.
