Heat not working

I've got a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT 6 cylinder with issues heating up the
interior with the maximum heat. I've done everything under the sun to get it
to work. I've replaced the thermostat, I refilled the reservoir with coolant,
just replaced the blend door actuator, and ruled out the heater blower. The
only thing I haven't done is flush the heater core. Any other ideas on how I
can get heat because it's about to be a bad winter in Ohio and I have to
drive for an hour to get to college and would much prefer not to freeze to
death.

Does the engine reach normal operating temp? Hopefully that means 200 degrees F or better. Are the heater hoses hot? You might remove heater core return hose from engine block, have somebody bump the starter, see if anything comes out. Don't start it. The actuator needs voltage or vacuum maybe a combination of both, to operate. Check that.

Start vehicle and let reach operating temp then feel the hoses going into and out of the heater core they should feel the same temperature if one is hot and the other is luke warm the heater core is clogged maybe able to flush system if does not work after flushing system heater core will need to be replaced.
