Is there just a screw I can turn to raise the idle

Low idle can be caused by dirty/faulty idle air control valve or dirty throttle plate. Turn your a/c on. Does the idle raise? Turn your steering wheel hard to the left. Does your idle raise? If answer to both is no then it's more than likely your idle air control valve.
You can adjust idle, the screw is located on the bottom of the throttle body. Hex head, tighting increases idle, loosening reduces idle speed. Easiest to adjust if you take off the throttle body, otherwise it's real tight fit to adjust.
My idle screw location answer above is for Pontiac grand am years 1999-2005, other years may or may not be the same.
1999-2005 Pontiac Grand Am has a screw to adjust idle speed. It is located on bottom side of the throttle body, and easiest to adjust if the throttle body is taken off. Has hex head, tighten to increase idle and loosen to reduce idle speed. I feel turning around 1.25 is good adjustment to test.
