COOLANT TROUBLE? NEED ANSWERS ASAP!
So I've just bought a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am se v6.
It's a 3.4 liter engine same engine as the gt.
Anyways the car has been getting a a little warmer.
It goes about about halfway past the middle mark
point of the cold/hot meter. "Sorry if I does use
correct car park terminology". Also doesn't have a
normal radiator cap on the top of the radiator like
most cars but a pressurized reservoir coolant tank.
When I checked it, it was very dirty brownish in
color. And whereby just got the car and has such
high mileage 236,000 to be exact. But still runs
pretty good for the most part. So my question is
would changing put the coolant solve the heating
issue. Also thought maybe a cold air intake could
help? Anyways this is my daily driver now and
want it to last as long as it possibly can. Sorry I've
wrote so much just trying to give a much info
about it as I can to help trouble shoot if anyone has
any answers I'd love to hear them. Thanks
