i have a 2000 pontiac grand am with the 2.4, while driving all my dash gadges will stop and if i turn car off when gauges are not worling i will have to jump it to get it started, sometimes driving they just come back on and the car will restart on its own if the guages are working properly. how can i fix this\

I have a 99 pontiac grand am se 3.4L V6. The issue is that it starts and idles fine but as soon as I go to accelerate it just shuts off. It did have overheating issues but right after I fixed those it started doing this. I replaced the cam position sensor and also the engine coolant temp sensor and it didnt help. I was thinking of replacing the ignition coil packs and housi g but not sure if that would fix it. There are no check engine lights or stored codes . 4 Answers

You can start it and it dies right away like there is no fuel and it has a new pump n filter. also a few lights are on the service engine light,security light and now a TRAC OFF light!
