Service Engine Soon Light

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2001 Grand Am. It is always serviced and kept up. Today it did something
odd...as I came to a light, it idled like it wanted to cut off but it didn't. Then as I pulled into
work, the Service Engine Light flashed off and on a few times then went out. What could
this be?

1.- check your spark plug wires. they might be loose or worn out 2.- It could be the coils. but usually is the wires. Good luck. My email is jaimeintucson@msn.com if you have any more questions

Ok...I have an appointment for a tune-up to change the plugs and wires...will I be ok until Saturday? That is the only day they have an appointment...Yikes!
