2001 Pontiac Grand Am 3.4L Fuel Pump Problems

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have put a new fuel pump and filter on the car and the car will still not start but the pump is running. I took the line off at the filter and no fuel is coming out of the line but when you turn the key on you can hear the pump running. So I removed the new fuel pump and took it back and got another new one and still the same problem is occurring. Then I put a pcm in the car and still no change, and also changed out the fuel pump relay and it’s still doesn’t start  ...DOES ANYONE have any idea what it could be????

wich side of the filter did you take the line off? if you ar not getting fuel through the filter then its clogged. If u are not getting fuel to the filter then you have an issue with either ur wiring to the pump. a pump problem itself or a clogged line.

No fuel in tank or you've got a clogged fuel line or you crossed the fuel lines when reconnecting it as they're really not color coded. Make sure u put the line coming from fuel filter attached to the far right hole of the 3 on the pump the other two are for ventilation and return.
