front seat will not go up or down just makes noise when you push switch

The gears are shot they are under the seat

do I have to remove the seat or can this be done otherwise thank you for your quick response

I sugest, let it alone, it is a macanism of a long bolt , normaly just the dealer sell this parts , other than that check the fuse if it is blown,good luck

Yes you have to remove the seat. I would go to your locale junk yard and see if you can find one its bolts to the frame of the seat. Elvic what are you talking about there is power to the seat it's a screw driven gear

How can I manually lower the drivers seat?

Well mine just went today!!! I can still lower it gets stuck some times and the motor makes noise won't go up tho only way I can is if I push it up while pushing the button but I guess it will be better just to get a New Seat from the Wrecker instead of getting the gear for it.

Mine did the same thing the motor works still I can hear it but seat Diane move the plastic gear broke so the motor is just spinning but not doing anything. So I took the seat out since I’m tall I manually lowered it with a drill in reverse that brought down the seat low enough so I could sit comfortable in the car. I just left it like that unplugged the motor I’m the only one driving this car so it dosnt need to be adjusted all the time.
