Turn Signals

Asked by JeanClaudeGrandAm Feb 09, 2019 at 01:16 AM about the 2002 Pontiac Grand Am GT Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving around today and as I was coming up to a turn, I flipped on my
turn signal and nothing happened. Both signals suddenly weren't working. This
has happened randomly before and i would say this is probably the third time
my signals temporarily stopped working for a few seconds. They finally came
on, but could this be a short in the BCM or a fuse?

Commonly called a "flasher", easily replaced and cheap. Available at all auto parts stores in your area. Buy one so you know what to look for on the bottom side of your dash.

I replaced the multi-function switch and checked the fuses. Signals still quit working intermittently. Should I replace the hazard switch next or check for a short in the system?
