Pontiac not starting
I turn the key on to start I get no crank at all. Fuel
pump kicks on, and all the lights work, battery is
tight. I know from a previous grand am like this one
about the security light issue. But my old car when
that was the problem the security light blinked.
Left the key on and doors closed for 10min and
boom, fixed. This one doesnt blink. Just stays on
solid. Assuming the security issue I jump the
starter with a screw driver. It cranks but still no
start. So the security must also kill the fuel going
into the engine. Damn technology! My question is
simply: with the light not blinking could that still be
the issue, and if so should I try the solder a resistor
trick I seen on YouTube or is there a better way, or
is there something else I should check first. Not an
expert here but I'm confident enough in my
handyman skills to tackle this, just need pointed in
the right direction. Thanks!
