my 2002 4 cyl pontiac grand am has the engine mounts are a little bad if i replace them with used engine mounts in great shape is it good or bad for my car?

That's a lot of labor (the expensive part)- new mounts shouldn't cost a lot- just go ahead and put new ones on, don't cheap out-
