Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car runs fine, never overheats (gets a little warmer idling or in traffic) but when
the engine is warmed up and I turn it off I hear a bubbling/gurgling noise in my
dash (air in my heater core?) I haven't bothered to check my overflow when this
noise does happen to see if coolant perhaps is boiling into the overflow. Also when
the car cools down the upper rad hose collapses. I'm thinking when the lim gaskets
were replaced the system wasn't properly bled. And for the collapsing rad hose
could be a bad rad/overflow cap?. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'd replace the thermostat and bleed the air out of the system. A lot of times a 'gurgling noise' is a symptom of a bad thermostat.

I don't believe it could be the thermostat, there's no symptoms at all to indicate it's failing (temperature wise) but I don't believe it's ever been replaced so I'll add it to my list of stuff to replace. (The car has 120,000kms on it)

I have an 04 and it was doing the same but no temp rising. Turned out to be the thermostat.
