My 03 Pontiac grand am won't start

Ihad this same problem last yr in my car same yr and paid 200 to find out the mechanic utubed it and it's a security issue the video is on utube and i had to do this several times where you turn the key over but not start it and the security light blinks for ten minutes once it stops blinking then turn the car key back off and boom car starts!! I livw in phx and it was 110 to 120 every time i had to do this. It happened for several months and I haven't had this issue in months but if had so many more it's been such a hassle And other problems have cost me thousands.
