2003 grand am 6 cyl

I Have replaced three thermostats and all three gets stuck shut causing the
radiator hoses to get as tight as a drum and causes overheating. Bench testing
proves the out to be faulted. What harm would it be to just not have a
thermostat in the first-place? And just run the car without.one?

Are you sure you are installing the Tstats in the correct direction? Installing backwards will cause them to stay shut which, in turn, causes over heating. Running without a Tstsat will cause other problems for you since many sensors rely on an accurate temp reading. Things like mixture, air volume, timing, etc. will not sense correctly and may cause you to be running very rich (wasting fuel).

If the system becomes over pressurized you need a new radiator or reservoir cap.
