Why is my 2004 Pontiac grand am overheating but not smoking? Do I need to get my radiator fixed?

I can pour 1 gallon of 50/50 coolant in there and it all runs out before ive finished the bottle. It says it is at the highest temp it can go and not once does it smoke?

First thing,you do have a leak if it go,s through that much coolant that quick,and if you dont see coolant coming out some where under radiator or engine,there is a internal leak,meaning going out the exhaust,have some one rev car,and you check the exhaust with a rag,if it gets damp,you have engine problem,s.

Have seen them do this without smoking at all,just blow drops of water out.

if it does pour out under the engine, where is the leak coming from?

Could be bad heater hose or freeze plug,
