just replaced pads,turned rotors and replaced calipers on my 2004 grand am. now front rims and rotors are getting so hot you can't touch them. what might the problem be?

Remove the caliper from the bracket. Compress the piston. Open the bleeder valve. Close bleeder. Check the pads move freely in the bracket. Number one reason for bad brake jobs is insufficient lube. Lube all pad to bracket contact points and ensure the move easily. EEnsure caliper slides move easily. Bolt caliper back on bracket. Bleed using a vacuum bleeder available at harbor freight for about $15. Bleed until every ounce of old fluid is gone. Make sure you keep your master topped up with new fluid. I like to remove the old fluid from the reservoir with a turkey baster first. If this doesnt cure the issue, try exchanging the calipers. Ive gotten several bad calipers recently from different parts chains.

Did you check and lun ed your bearings? This is also very important. Normaly also you can not touch the brake rotors or calipers. They can be better checked with an infared thermometer the ones from Harbor Freight are not too expensive and work very well, you can even get under your car and check you catilic converters, that is why I bought one.
