Can i make my 95 pontiac grand prix quieter?

Asked by Jakekeepitgoing Feb 27, 2016 at 02:02 PM about the 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix 2 Dr SE Coupe

Question type: General

I have a 1995 grand Prix i just bought as a
cheap cash car that doesn't appear to have
any exhaust problems but just sounds very
loud to me. Others have said pontiacs are
just loud. Thinking of an inspection at Napa.
Is there an easy to install or good set of
quieter nicer sounding mufflers? Dont think
its my catylitic but different fluid level lights
turn on and off which i just remembered can
be due to the onboard computer getting
confused after compensating a long while
on a bad cat. True? Also the quiet mufflers.
Quiet flow or magnaflow? Some name like
that? Thank you for your time

Take your car to a muffler shop and discuss with them.

You probably need a mufler. Mine looked fine too but got louder and louder. Mew mufflers, and it was a quiet as any other car on the road. ... exept maybe a Volt. :)
