remove door pannel , remove the window & remove the clips to the rods on the door handle & remove the handle . if you have never done this before find someone thats has ,it's not that hard to do but with like with every job you need the right tools & some know how .

If you are replacing the outside handle it is a whole lot easier than that..remove the cover that you will see on the door while the door is open..it is on the handle side not the hinge side ...remove the 2 nuts holding the cover on and then the rods that operate the mechanism...REMEMBER how you took the clips off of the rods...remove the 2 nuts holding all of that in place...the trim will come off too on the outside...take the assembly with you to a junk yard to get the right length one you need...one yard wanted 25.00 and another wanted 50.00 for one!!! Good Luck!!

Muscle man knows what he is talking about. I just did an outside handle on one a few months ago. I actually found a new onefor about 60 bucks i think. Look online. Cutlass supremes also had a similiar handle but they will not fit. If goin to junk yard make surs it is off a grand prix. good luck
