Radiator core depth

Asked by GuruNKH4Q Nov 05, 2019 at 01:44 PM about the 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix 2 Dr GT Coupe

Question type: General

How do i find out what the core depth is for the radiator in my car.  I checked online and found nothing.  i asked the auto parts store and they didn't know.  I checked the repair manual and there is no mention of it.  There are 2 core depths listed for my car on all of the autoparts websites.  I can't measure the depth on my car because the radiator is buried and i can't get to it.  i would have to remove it and then special order the part once I found out but I need to drive the car.  Any thoughts?

Using your vehicle's serial number I would think any GM dealership would be able to look your car up and tell you which radiator it came with. Not sure why you couldn't simply measure it though. They're not that hard to get at.
