check coolant light stays on doesnt seem to over heat and is not losing water but can here a noise coming from water pump could that be the problem

coolant stays on and also there is a noise that is there at all times that sounds like a airplane taking off and landing

Dumb question is there enough coolant in your cooling system? If your water pump is bad it 90% of the time would be leaking coolant from the pump. It may be your coolant level sensor is bad. This would explain your light but not the noise coming from your pump. May be your water pump bearing going bad.
