Problems after Battery poles bad conneted?

The negative and positive poles of
the battery were badly connected.  
and an attempt was made to start the
car.  After correcting the error, and
connecting the poles well, the car
does not start.  What may have
damaged, other than t the computer?

Did you test the battery? Voltage? What condition are the battery cables and terminals in?

The battery and the terminals were new. Was an human error when he conect the termimals to the bettery.
