Will the wire harness from a 97 pontiac grand prix gtp be compatable to a 99 pontiac grand prix gt??

Asked by migration_chadwagner... Jun 01, 2014 at 02:24 PM about the 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix 4 Dr GT Sedan

Question type: Car Customization

I took the supercharger, lower intake manifold, heads, the complete wiring harness with computer and fuse box, and all the pulleys for the supercharger of a 2dr 1997 Grand Prix GTP and put them into my 4dr 1999 Grand Prix GT. When i hooked up the positive wire, one of the plugs started smoking. My mechanic bypassed that wire and was able to hook up the positive and now the interior lights stay on???????

I can't answer the electrical question however I hope you also took the two stage fuel pump that you will also need to supply sufficient fuel to the engine when the supercharger is in use.
