GTP slip Transmission

I have a 99 gtp 200k miles my tranny slips in Drive but I can manually shift with
smooth acceleration any suggestions I love my GTP

Shift solenoids, or gear selector switch. I had a Pontiac Bonnie that did the same thing, replaced the shift solenoids and no more problem but I did have the switch checked first.
