my inspection failed saying that I have water in my head lights how much does this cost?

...well you could wait till the dry season...then have it inspected...you COULD perhaps dry them with a hair dryer, but lack of venting has made the water stay in there...makin' it into steam may not remove the water...dry season~ If the lights work okay, what's the dealie-o~?

No need to spend a bunch of money on an old car. The headlights are easily removed from your car. Take them off the car and of course pour out any actual liquid that may be in them. Take them indoors to a warm place and allow them to air dry. You could even try warming them with a hair dryer to help speed things along Once they are totally dry reassemble them onto the car and you'll pass your inspection. Tail lights are much easier since condensation will not be visible so you are only dealing with the liquid that has built up inside. Again remove the light assemblies from the car. This involves a couple of wing nuts inside the trunk. No tools required except maybe a pair of pliers to get them loose. Dump the water out of them and then put them back together. Plan on doing this from time to time unless you want to go to the trouble of attempting to reseal them which is very difficult to do.
