Key stuck in ignition

Gotta love GM! This happened to another GM car, on the opposite side of the world! :) Ok, try and jingle the key a bit (be careful to switch it to the position where you usually remove it from ignition) , but without forcing it, you may risk to break it. If this doesn't help, try spraying some WD or some other lubricant on the grooves of the key, what is left outside. Again, jingle it. If this doesn't help, try with a syringe to put some gasoline, alcohol, WD40. jingle t again! jingling is the key! If this does not help... well... you can take apart the plastics covering the steering wheel, you will have a pin holding this ignition, and at least you can turn the key, you will easily take it down, put it in some diesel/gas and hopefully it will release the key... but this involves more skill and work.
Under neighth the steering column there's a little plastic circle piece that easily pops out, take a chop stick or coat hanger, pop the plastic out and stick the chop stick up the whole, it hits a release button that probably needs to be greased or lubed. There is a rubber piece right under your ignition where your stuck key is, if you pop that rubber piece out you'll be able to see the switch when your sticking the chopstick up there that way you know exactly what your messing with. This problem caused my battery to be depleted and all kinds of extra problems, but when I found out how to fix it took me not 5 minutes
