Question type: Maintenance & Repair

so i got a 2001 grand prix gtp super cheap, needed
something asap,  it needed an egr, i had one brand
new laying around from a previous project,
installed it and noticed the harness plug in wasnt
in the same position as the old one but everything
else aas fine and clipped in perfect, no girlfriend
got a new grand prix with a series 3 3800 and i
noticed that the one i put on my series 2 was
exactly the same as hers except her wire colors are
in a different order then on my harness and i have
a "insufficient airflow" code that wont go away not.
matter what i do or clean out, should i just swap
the wires in the same order as hers?.. or just get
another egr?

I would just get original equipment meaning get the one that fits correctly to your vehicle and I think it's the 8th number in your VIN is the way you'll find out whether or not you get the correct one or not?
