Where is the thermostat on a 3.1 2001 grand prix

In the thermostat housing where the coolant hose meets the engine. There will be two large diameter hoses coming out of the engine (one high and one low) you are looking for the high one. It should be coming from the top of the radiator or the overflow reservoir.
