2001 pontiac grand prix se makes funny noises and brake peddle trys to stick.or jumps. what is that?

if the pedal jumps it is on of three things, you have warped rotors, ABS may be acting up or warped rotors an a sticking brake caliper. Do you notice if the vehicle pulls left or right while you are braking?? And what do you mean by funny noises??

I agree, it sounds like an ABS issue. I've had that sort of thing happen when wheel sensors fail although other ABS problems like bad electrical connections etc can cause it too. Get it properly diagnosed before you start replacing stuff. Some of those parts are expensive. You don't want to replace them needlessly.
