Car will start but once into gear will not move

Asked by Krys Jan 02, 2020 at 06:31 AM about the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have changed fuel pump fuel filter computer head gasket
alternator water pump n gaskets spark plugs wires coil
packs icm battery  new keys and fobs new brakes and
rotors front n back . It will start and run i can  put it into
gear but it will not move forward nor backward... What is
wrong?

Sounds like either your linkage to the trans has come loose or broken or the trans needs attention from a trans shop.
