What engine and how many miles on it now and is it maintained properly?
1989 rivi lasted 165k miles on stock tranny & engine went 110 before overhaul.
I've run several of these cars to 180k and they were nowhere near the end of their lifespan. The electronics tend to be the ultimate killer though I have seen engines and transmissions go which render the car unserrviceable due to the cost. It's not unreasonable to expect 200 - 250k with proper care and careful driving.
I see this question was asked years ago, I currently own a 2005 Grand Prix and it’s at 460,000 + with the original motor and transmission
Wow, That's pretty amazing. Is that miles or kilometers? Either way, they're great cars and good for lots of miles, but that's got to be some sort of a record. Have you had any issues with the electronics? What sort of a maintenance schedule have you followed to achieve that mileage? Is it still going strong or is it finally starting to show its age?
