GM engines

Asked by Alexander Mar 15, 2016 at 12:27 AM about the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP

Question type: Car Customization

I spun a bearing in my 02 GTP and figured idsave
time and $ by just dropping a new engine in
instead of rebuilding.
I found one on southwestmotors.com claimed 89k
miles with supercharger no alt, pumps ect. Series
2.
They sent me a series 3 no blower and are giving
me a hell of a time returning.

Will a series 3 engine pop right into the series 2
spot or are blots, plugs and such diffrent? I can
already see the oil pans are completely different
and will beba big issue

If they sold you one thing but sent you another they are guilty of fraud. Shouldn't be too hard to get them to cooperate if their other option is facing criminal charges. It's best to find the correct engine for the car. Anything else is going to be a lot more work to put in and in the end may not work properly. Good luck.
