Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My grandmother is giving me her old car and it is a 2003 Pontiac grand prix
gtp. She said the front wobbles and she doesn't know why. Could it just be the
axel or something else?

I’d start by inspecting the tires. One of them might be separated if they’re really old. If they look ok, take it for a fairly long drive, preferably on a highway where you can drive continuously at 40 miles per hour or more for about fifteen miles. This will allow the tires to warm up. If the wobble goes away, it’s tires. If the car has been sitting a lot and your grandma just took it on occasional short trips the tires may have developed flat spots from sitting. If the problem persists I’d look for a bent wheel and after that I’d take it to an alignment shop for an inspection. You could also try swapping the wheels and tires front to back to see if that changes ho the wobble feels. That may help isolate where it’s coming from. Hope it works out. They are great cars.
