Engine problem no service lights

Asked by Mtaylor233 Mar 02, 2016 at 12:51 PM about the 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving home from work and going
down the road with my foot on the gas it
lost throttle power then the engine started
shaking. I made it to the next stop sign and
it died. The engine started but with a very
violent shake. It died again and had to be
pushed the rest the way home. Now the car
won' t stay running unless you keep your
foot on the gas. No lights on the dash board
came on and the engine shakes bad. Just
did a tune up also .

No, definitely not the water pump. Have it scanned for codes. That will give you some direction. Don't start replacing parts until you know what's wrong.
