If it says it needs a crankshaft sensor, then I'd say you know what's wrong. Do the obvious. Change the crankshaft sensor and then see how the car runs.

I bought the car for 1200 I was just wondering if it's that easy why he didnt do it might can be electrical promblem??

It may need other things too, but go with what you know. The computer stores those trouble codes for a reason. Change the sensor. Make sure the cooling system is full and has the air bled out of the system. That's a common cause of overheating problems.

It likely wouldn't run at all if it was the timing belt. Much more likely a combination of electrical and cooling system.
