2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT2 started running hot
Car has been running fine, we changed the thermostat about a month and a half ago -
never had problems.
It looked like something was spraying (when I opened the hood you can see things
were wet).
So since the car has been cooled down I checked all hoses, fan works, and I ran
across this (see pictures). Can anyone tell me if this could be the cause and what this
part is? And is this a dealer item? (cross my fingers that it isn't)

Nope it's not a dealer item, those plastics pipes are available at any auto parts store.
Wat is dat part called so i can buy one
It's a 90 degree coolant pipe, it may even be in the help section at the auto parts store, that's how common they fail.
DORMAN Part # 47065HP Replace them with the Aluminum ones so this won't happen again
It is fixed! Thank you to everyone that helped! I replaced them with the plastic ones this time, but I will re-change them in a few months when I do a few other things to the engine.
While the metal ones are most certainly better, remember the first plastic ones lasted 10 years. No reason to think the replacement ones won't as well. On the other hand they are very inexpensive, and if you're in there anyway....
