Rusted back brake line

Asked by GuruL7BNY May 01, 2019 at 12:38 PM about the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My brake line to back tires on my 04 Pgp is
rusted through can I block them at master
cylinder or that funky box that has break line
going in an out of it so I can just run front
brakes for time being? Ive done this before
on older stuff.

Agree with above 100%, park it or fix it. Hokey half ass 'fixes' from olden days aren't going to cut it on modern vehicles.

Yes. The smart thing to do would be park it if you can’t fix it.. I’m not going to tell you to “park it or fix it”. Because your a grown ass man. People tend to get mouthy and tough on the internet. It’s been my experience that these same people, when called upon outside the internet are not so ignorantly demanding. Yes if I were you I would fix it, but ultimately I wouldn’t tell you”while making you sound like a child” to Park it or fix it. Have I got my point across? Hope so! Have a great day and remember your only asking for advice not to be talked down to.
