Question type: General

I bought my 04 GTP in April of 2007 when the weather was cool(60-70degrees)now in July 07 the temperature is 95-100 degrees. The car does'nt seem to have the same BIG TIME horsepower.Do these supercharged GTP's have trouble in hot weather? The car still runs great, just not as strong as in the cooler weather.

Most all cars will not perform as well in warmer weather. Just like companies advertise cold air intakes to increase horsepower, horsepower will be affected when the ambient temperature is higher. 60-70 degrees is prime for power. Also, now that it is 100 degrees, you are also most likely running your air conditioner which can actually use up to 100 hp.

I wouldnt say 100 hp but more like 30 to 40 but other than that is a very good answer.
