Leaking intake hose

Asked by Guru5QS8 Mar 27, 2017 at 10:50 AM about the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My intake hose has a crack in it and fluid is leaking.
What could the problem be besides the crack.

Looks like a coolant hose and NOT an intake hose. Put down the tools and step away from the vehicle. Have someone that knows what they are doing do the repair.

My 2005 Grand Prix GT 3.8L had the same problem one day. Bought a Gates Upper radiator hose from O'Reilly Auto Parts and took about 1 hour to remove enough coolant so it would not drip all over the engine, remove the old hose and replace with the new one.
