Brake booster vacuum hose

I have a 04 Pontiac Grand Prix and the Brake
booster vacuum hose keeps popping off the
intake and makes a loud popping car won't
start.

Do you have a crossed plug wire? If not you may have a bad intake valve causing the pop noise.

Check on line for firing order and spark plug wire routing, a bad valve will show up on a compression test or cylinder leak down test. Some parts stores loan out compression gauges it screws into the spark plug hole then you crank the engine and read the gauge. One of the cylinders will read 0
