How to get metal bracket off from under dash to replace my heater core??
I have a 2005 Pontiac grand Prix. My car has been overheating for about a
month or so now.. I know for sure the heater core is bad.. My father is a
mechanic and also I have fluid leaking all over my floor board on the
passenger side of my vehicle. I've replaced the thermostat, the coolant temp
sensor and water pump.. My husband has completely taken apart the dash so
get to the heater core but there is a long metal bracket that is as long as the
width of my dash, the dash bolts to this metal piece.. This is the only thing
standing in my way of pulling the heater core out and replacing it... My
husband has tried and tried pulling that metal piece off and still no luck. Is it
attached to something else that needs to come off ? Any suggestions or advice
on how to get that metal plate off??? Thanks in advance!
