How can I get a softer ride? I have a 94 corvette that I recently bought but I feel, every little bump. Can I get shocks that will give me a cushier ride?

The current struts (shocks) are performance designed to give you a SPORTS CAR FEEL (handling). Yes you can get a more forgiving set of struts for your vette, however the body will sway more when you take a corner, so you will have to watch and avoid hard cornerning. You can also purchase a shock that can be tuned to your needs soft for a smoother ride or sturdy for performance the will cost more. Call several of the big box auto stores and ask them for adjustable shock versus a soft ride shock. You will need to replace all 4 corners to get the desired effect!

Check the tire pressure. Follow the manufactures advice. I had to get rid of my BF Goodrich RA tires due to age. I got a set of Hankook tires that offered a softer ride, better handling and control. The tire compound is softer, and the longevity of the tire is shorter. You have a sports car. Your car is built for a smoother and softer ride then the earlier C-3 Corvettes. Mind rides like a lumber-wagon. Check and see if you have the adjustable ride shocks or suspension system. You also may have after-market shocks that are more harsh.
