2006 Pontiac Grand Prix

Asked by TarezMonte Jan 17, 2019 at 11:15 AM about the 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 Grand Prix..... It acts if it wants to
turn over but it doesn't... It has a 3800 in it...I
recharged the battery change the alternator... The
thermostat... The serpentine belt... And it still won't
start...I know it's not the starter.... And now when I
try to get it to turn over it starts to smoke towards
the front of the engine.... What could it be..??

Why did you change all those random parts? Does the car not turn over, or does it turn over but not start? Check that battery connections are tight and grounds are clean and tight. Scan for trouble codes if that doesn’t help.
