I'd suspect the body control module (BCM). Everything you mentioned is controlled by the BCM. Have the BCM scanned for trouble codes and go from there. Hope that helps! Jim
I had it put a code reader twice and the same codes came up and nothing about the BCM was on there. Could it possibly have something to do with the old key fob being ran over and recieving new ones that are same just not programmed yet, is there a possible way that its sensing the new ones and it's just a theft thing?
I'm thinking the same as the others. Find a shop that specializes in auto and truck electrical systems. They are equipped to find the sort of problem you're having. I'm also thinking body control module, but it may not be the module itself. Don't start replacing things until you find the problem, That can get expensive in a hurry.
Thanks everyone.. I'm taking to a shop on friday!
You're welcome. Glad to help! A standard code reader won't communicate with the BCM. A more sophisticated scan tool is needed for that. The shop will have one. Let us know what you find out. Jim
