Front and rear tire alignment.

I am second owner of vehicle, which now has 103,456 miles.  Will be replacing tires and the dealer said to have both front and rear alignment with new tires.  Never herd of this.  My vehicel is a 2006 GT with 3.8 supercharged and has sport supension.  Can some one enlighten me on the rear alignment?

With a FWD car, both front and rear suspension are adjustable. If the front can go out of alignment, so can the back. It's standard practice to have a 4-wheel alignment.
