Possible bad battery and or starter, try jumping the car first, make sure you put the cables on the right way. Also check for any corrosion on the terminals....
I agree that it's most likely something with the battery. I would jump start it and then look for anything on like an interior light or something like that. My kids leave the interior lights on all the time so this happens to me every so often. Note that if you don't find anything on that would have discharged your battery, it may be that it's time to replace it and most of the auto part stores will do a free battery test as well as install a new one for you after you purchase it.
If you get it jump started, take it up to any auto parts store, most will do a free test of the charging system, and will tell you if the battery and alternator are good.
I agree with all that's been said. It's most likely the battery. The important thing is to do proper diagnostics first so you don't spend money on something that isn't needed. First check that all your battery connections are clean and tight. That's free, or very inexpensive if you have to pay someone. Next, as has been stated, have the battery load tested. If it fails, you need a new one, if it passes you will need to look further which may require professional help. Don't just start randomly changing parts on the advice of a spouse, boyfriend or helpful neighbor. That rarely works and usually ends up costing a fortune. Good luck.
