We have a 2006 Grand Prix, our air conditioning seems to only work when it wants to. It blows out hot air. When it does blow out cold air its only for a few minutes. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem may be?

you will have to check if the compressor goes out, maybe you have an electrical problem and it turns off. you can have problems with the clutch of the compressor also and maybe it is slipping or it's broken. or maybe you have a leak and have too little refrigerant left in the system this could be if when it blows cold air it is not working at full capacity. if when its blows cold air it works 100% it is not a leak. If you have an a/c service tool check the pressures you can identify many problems with this readings...
